Positivity!

Hello Lovely Curzonites!

Today and for the rest of the week, I would love for us to do something extra special. We are going to create some wonderful pieces of art to put into one big display when we get back to school. So, what ever you create today, please keep it safe!

These are to bring joy, colour and positivity for us all - so please take your time on them!

The first thing you need to remember is what a COOL colour, and what a WARM colour is.
Warm colours are ones that are like fire and the sun, that make you feel warm  - RED, ORANGE, YELLOW
The cool colours are like the ocean - GREEN, BLUE, PURPLE

We are going to use this knowledge today to create a piece of art like these examples. The most important thing to remember is what ever colours you use to do your letters, the background will have the opposite!

You could do a square per family member - or one each! Complete as collaboratively as you wish!

Earth Day

On the 22nd April, it was Earth Day!

During this pandemic, there has been much in the news about how the planet has been affected - for the better!

Canals in Venice are becoming clear and full of sea life!

Pollution all over the world has dropped dramatically.

Such wonderful things sometimes come out of tricky times, celebrate with me and create something beautiful to honour the Earth.

We are going to celebrate Earth Day with the choice of three activities!
Choose which ever one appeals to you, and enjoy!

Thursday!

Here's the video for today! It's in two parts!
Part 1: Treasure map!

Part 2:  Tea staining!

Tuesday, April 21, 2020

Arrrrrr, it be Wednesday!

SALT DOUGH RECIPE: - You can use this again next week too!

To decorate once dry, use and paint, glitter, what ever you have! If you can't wait for it to dry (2-3 days), popping it into the oven (with no cardboard) will dry it quickly - 1-2 hours at a low temperature should do it!
Make sure you have an adult help you with this part!

Pirate Week! Art at Home!

Time to get creative! Each day, we’re going to do a range of wonderful activities together! Save your work in the Pupil portal or email so I can see! Don't feel like you have to do one a day, but there should be plenty to choose from.

We are keeping the supplies simple. Most days we are just using household items. So that you can scavenge around for them like a true pirate, I'm including the list of supplies for each day this week at the end of this post!

Remember to pause the video and go at your own pace when you're drawing!

This week – PIRATE WEEK inspired by my favourite Art Teacher, Cassie Stephens!

MONDAY:

Colouring in sheets here for lots of ideas!

Here's a bit of fun! What's your Pirate name?

Mine's Grubby Bottom McPatches.

Watch the video and join in!

Check back in tomorrow for how to create a Pirate Ship collage!

Have a look at what else you'll need for the week! Remember, you do not need to do art every day, so feel free to wait for something that you want to do!

Monday: Wanted Poster
Tuesday: Pirate Ship
Wednesday: Salt Dough Treasure Chest
